Peru: A Wonderful Experience Before You Leave

I was born in Lima, Peru. Peru is a country located in the west of South America. Its capital is Lima, located at the center of the country. Due to its climate and scenery, it is a great place to take a vacation. However, since Peru is located on the southern hemisphere, the seasons differ. For example, winter in New York occurs between December to March. On the other hand, in the southern hemisphere is very warm between those months.

Wonderful places to visit would be Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and the Cathedral of Lima. The food and the gastronomy of Peru are top-notch and uniquely creative. Examples like the ceviche(a seafood), tallarin verde (green spaghetti) and causa limeƱa (spicy mashed potato with tuna) are awknowledged by fellow country neighbors and tourists.

In addition, the majority of people who lives in Peru mostly speaks Spanish. However in some other areas of the country, there are indigenous people who speaks dialects such as Quechua and Aymara. Fun fact, the Incan Empire spoke Quechua during the pre-Columbian Era.
